Maintain a compliance obligations inventory and ensure regulatory requirements are reflected in business policies, procedures, and controls. Advise the business on fair lending, customer protection, disclosures, adverse action, servicing, and complaint-related obligations.
Compliance Monitoring & Testing
Support risk-based compliance monitoring and testing activities. Monitor activities across origination, servicing, payments, customer communications, collections, complaints, and lease-end processes. Identify control deficiencies, assess regulatory risk, and track corrective actions through closure. Maintain documentation and evidence supporting monitoring, audit, and regulatory examination activities.
Customer Identification, AML & Fraud Controls
Provide guidance regarding applicable customer identification, sanctions, AML, fraud-prevention, and identity-verification requirements. Partner with Operations, Credit, Risk, and other stakeholders on escalated or higher-risk transactions. Assist with customer-screening and verification controls and periodic review of related policies and procedures.

Review customer communications and collection procedures for applicable federal and state requirements. Monitor risks associated with third-party collection agencies, repossession providers, and related vendors. Advise Operations on escalation of complex customer, legal, or regulatory matters and vehicle disposition following repossession or lease termination.

Partner with Privacy, Cybersecurity, Technology, and Operations regarding customer-data handling and third-party access. Assess privacy implications associated with new technologies, processes, vendors, and customer interactions. Support investigation and remediation of potential privacy or compliance incidents.
Complaints, Governance & Reporting
Support the regulatory complaint-management framework and review significant complaints for potential legal, regulatory, or systemic issues. Identify complaint trends that may indicate process or control deficiencies and partner with Operations on corrective action. Prepare legal and compliance reporting and support escalation of significant matters. Maintain policies, procedures, risk assessments, issue logs, and remediation tracking. Support delivery and coordination of compliance training and promote a strong culture of compliance and customer protection.
